Design Thinking Process guides this project through Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test & Iterate to create user-centered solutions.

1

Goal

Create a mobile app that helps users discover pressed juice recipes based on ingredients or health goals, making healthy choices simple, intuitive, and engaging.

2

Methods

Research included reviewing recipe and wellness apps, analysing ingredient-based search patterns, and exploring how users interact with food and health content. This provided insight into both usability needs and browsing behaviour.

3

Insights

Users want quick ways to find recipes that match their ingredients or health needs. Clear navigation, visual guidance, and interactive elements help make recipe discovery easier and more engaging.

Problem Statement

A busy adult wants to shop online for furniture and home décor efficiently, but finds existing websites confusing, slow, and lacking guidance. Comparing products, finding styles, and customizing items can be frustrating and time-consuming.

Goals

Simplify recipe discovery with a clear, intuitive interface.

Make browsing by ingredient, health goal, or recipe type seamless and easy to navigate.

Provide personalized recommendations and tailored nutrition guidance.

Enable interactive recipe customization and create a more engaging user experience.

Deliverables

High-fidelity screens were created to cover key flows, including ingredient search, recipe browsing, and recipe details. Interactive prototypes enabled early testing of navigation and gestures, while a mini design system ensured visual consistency across the app.

“The interface is clean, intuitive, and designed to make discovering healthy juice recipes simple and engaging. Clear navigation, visual cues, and interactive gestures were added to improve usability and user confidence.”

Design That Moves People: Key Insights and Outcomes

Early research and usability testing revealed that users want quick ways to find recipes based on ingredients or health needs. By addressing these behaviors, the app was refined to feel intuitive, engaging, and visually guided.

The results showed improved clarity when searching for recipes and navigating between screens. This project reinforced that effective mobile design focuses on simplicity, visual guidance, and reusable design components.

Method

Tested with 6 participants on ingredient search, recipe browsing, and viewing.

01

Findings

Flow was clear, but users wanted faster access to filters and recipe info.

02

Iteration

Refined search filters, navigation gestures, and recipe layouts for smoother use.
